That is why we have been supporting the preservation of this landmark for many years.<br \/>The Matzm\u00fchle mill was in operation until 1943, after which the mill wheel stood still for a long time. In 1985, the mill wheel was extensively reconstructed by the Ruhland building department.<br \/>This was no easy task, as the craftsmen only had the remains of the old mill wheel, with a diameter of 5.08 metres, to work from. Old drawings and construction documents were no longer available.<br \/>In the meantime, the mill wheel is being repaired again and again in order to preserve it for future generations.
